The Temari Group is actively trying to promote and achieve SDGs as they are very important for the future.
Each of the Temari Group pharmacies offer home visits by pharmacists. For the patients who are recuperating at home, pharmacists will visit to be sure the patient is taking any medication properly as well as to check the effectiveness of the medicine, the side effects, and whether or not there is any interaction of the prescribed medication with other medicine or supplements.
Temari Group pharmacists also also make an effort to provide integrated care by visiting patients alongside doctors. After consultation with other health care professionals, the safest and best way to progress with the patient can be decided. In addition, we are actively involved in palliative care and nutritional management, lending PCA and infusion pumps, and dispensing medical narcotics.
Currently, the Temari Kobu Pharmacy and the Temari Shimomaki Pharmacy are certified health support pharmacies. Everyone in the community is welcome to consult with a pharmacist to get good advice about how to live a healthier life.
We also sell OTC medicines and health foods. We are always happy to give medical and health advice to suit the needs of each person.
The Temari Group regularly hold children's pharmacy role-play activities in their pharmacies. Fueled by a child’s natural desire to create, explore and collaborate, these activities are equal parts entertainment and learning.
Theses hands-on experiences spark their interest and curiosity in pharmacy and medicine and possibly future careers in those professions.
Health screenings for things such as bone density and Body Mass Index (BMI) are carried out at the pharmacies. It is a good opportunity for members of the community who might not have a chance to check their health to do so.
After the screenings, pharmacists are able to consult further with people about what nutrition and exercise is good to stay healthy, and sometimes suggest seeing a doctor as a preventative measure.
It is always fun and interesting to invite people from the community to learn about useful topics about health and well-being and discuss these topics with them. Among the wide-range of topics we have presented are how to appropriately give medicine to kids as well as living alone and how to best interact socially for good health.
We have also done fun activities such as making traditional Japanese crafts called mizuhiki and had some small concerts.
The Temari Group believes in the benefits of continuous learning so participating in various academic meetings and conferences in order to provide higher quality service to our patients remains a priority.
We do not only attend conferences, but also present our work so as to share our experience with the wider healthcare community.
The Temari Group currently operates 15 pharmacies throughout Japan, but mainly in Ishikawa Prefecture. The company also operates Hine no Ie and Hina no Ie Irodori nursing homes, Hina no Ie Oshino multifunctional care facility, and the Temari Fitness rehabilitation and day service provider.
In addition, we play a role as a member of the community’s comprehensive care system by providing home-visit nursing care and in-home medical services, as well as health guidance by pharmacists.
